Arrests (September 3 – September 9)

Theft – On August 31, 2015, Deputy D. Smith responded to the 45000 block of Miramar Way (Walmart) in California, for a reported theft. The suspect, Shara M. Gentry, age 30, of Hollywood attempted to leave the store without paying for merchandise. Gentry was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was charged with Theft Less than $100.             CASE#51106-15

Burglary – On September 3, 2015, Deputy G. Mushchette responded to the 21000 block of Enterprise Place in Lexington Park, for a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, the deputy observed the suspect, De'Atre M. Perkins, age 20, of Temple Hills, inside the residence. Perkins exited the residence after several requests from the officer. The owner of the residence confirmed Perkins was not given permission to enter the home. Perkins was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with 4th Degree Burglary. CASE# 51816-15

Domestic Assault – On September 4, 2015, Deputy M. Pleisse, responded to the 38000 block of Mount Wolf Road in Charlotte Hall, for a reported assault. The victim alleged the suspect, Joseph P. Garity, age 42 of Charlotte Hall, pushed the victim to the ground during a disagreement. The victim displayed injuries consistent with the allegations. Garity was placed under arrest and charged with 2nd Degree Assault. CASE# 52135-15

Vandalism – On September 5, 2015, Corporal D. Corcoran, responded to the 21000 block of Windsor Drive in Lexington Park, for property destruction. The victim alleged the suspect, Tykane S. Briscoe, age 20, of Lexington Park, destroyed the victim’s property. While being placed under arrest, Briscoe became very aggressive. Briscoe was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with Property Destruction and Resisting Arrest. CASE# 52192-15

Trespassing – On September 5, 2015, while conducting crime prevention, Deputy A. Beishline observed Shuree S. Weems, age 34, of Park Hall, walking away from a store to the parking lot on the 28000 block of N. Shangri-La Drive in Lexington Park. The suspect was advised of the notice not to trespass filed on behalf of Millison Management Company, Inc. Weems was placed under arrest and issued a criminal citation for Trespass(ing) – Private Property. CASE# 52286-15

Trespassing – On September 5, 2015, while conducting crime prevention, Deputy A. Beishline observed, James A. Courtney, age 57, of Lexington Park, on the property of Millison Management Company, Incorporated. Courtney was notified that he was not to trespass the premises. The suspect was placed under arrest and issued a criminal citation for Trespass(ing) – Private Property. CASE# 52278-15.

Possession – On September 6, 2015, during a patrol, Deputy S. Tirpak observed a suspect that appeared to be under the influence of drugs. The suspect was seen in the area of 21000 Bunker Hill Drive (Nicolet Park) in Lexington Park. Upon further observation, Deputy Tirpak located drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. The suspect, Michael R. Herndon, age 30 of Piney Point, was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. He was charged with possessing a Controlled Dangerous Substance of Schedule I: Heroin and Three Counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. CASE# 52501-15

Assault – On September 9, 2015, Deputy Foor responded to the 46000 block of Lucca Way, for a reported assault. The victim alleged, Charles E. Danford, age 41, of Lexington Park, pushed and strangled the victim during a verbal dispute. Danford was placed under arrest at which time he became aggressive and damaged the patrol car. He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with 2nd Degree Assault and Destruction of Property. CASE# 53053-15

Escape – On September 7, 2015, the suspect, Daniel A. Spooner Jr., age 25, of Dameron was issued a retake warrant for failing to return to a program where he was serving his sentence. Spooner was located and charged with 2nd Degree Escape. CASE# 52790-15
