Arrests 6-10-15 - BOOKING PHOTOS ADDED

Assault on Correctional Officer – On June 4, 2015, Correctional Officer Graves was serving inmates meals through the food chute at the St. Mary’s County Detention Center when inmate Joseph Desales Thomas, age 51, of Great Mills, kicked the door. When Thomas kicked the door, the food chute door struck CO Graves’ hand. Thomas was charged with 2nd Degree Assault on Law Enforcement by Deputy Jason Wilson. CASE #32530-15

Assault – On June 5, 2015, Deputy Kerns responded to a residence on Army Navy Drive in Mechanicsville, for a domestic assault in progress. The victim alleged suspect Sandra Dee Widmayer, age 44, of Mechanicsville, pushed and scratched the victim during an argument. Deputy Kerns observed injuries on the victim’s nose. Windmayer was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was charged with 2nd Degree Assault. CASE #32805-15

1st Degree Assault – On June 7, 2015, Deputy Fennessey responded to a residence on Spinnaker Circle in Lexington Park, for an assault. The victim alleged suspect Sandra Renee Johnson, age 28, of Lexington Park, struck the victim in the head from behind with an unknown object. Deputy Fennessey observed a laceration on the right side of the victim’s head. The victim was transported to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital by ambulance with non life-threatening injuries. Deputy Fennessey determined Johnson used a claw hammer to hit the victim in the head. She also threw a shaving cream container at the victim, which struck the victim in the head. Johnson was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Officer. She was charged with 1st Degree Assault and 2nd Degree Assault. CASE #33367-15
