Arrests 4-27-15

Theft – On April 21, 2015, Corporal Rogers responded to Kohl’s Department Store for a reported theft. A loss prevention employee observed 2 female suspects conceal several pieces of merchandise. Both suspects then left the store passing all points of purchase. The suspects were able to flee in a vehicle, however responding deputies located the car. The suspects, identified as Sara Ann Jones, age 20, of Lusby, and Haley Marie Gott, age 18, of Lusby, were in possession of over $270.00 in stolen merchandise. Both were placed under arrest and charged with Theft Under $1,000 by criminal citation. CASE #22970-15

Assault – On April 25, 2015, Deputy Dale Smith responded to a residence on Scarborough Road in Lexington Park, for a domestic assault in progress. During an argument over money, the suspect identified as Susan Michelle Furr, age 28, of Lexington Park, bit the victim. Deputy Smith observed a fresh injury on the victim. Furr was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was charged with 2nd Degree Assault. CASE #23942-15

Child Abuse – On April 25, 2015, Corporal Kirkner responded to a residence in the 44000 block of Clarkes Landing Road in Hollywood. The occupants of the home called 9 1 1 after two children, (ages 8 and 12), who live nearby, ran to their home after allegedly being assaulted by their mother. The older child alleged suspect Loren Bliss Cyr, age 32, of Hollywood, threw the victim off of a bed and strangled the victim with her hands. The victim was able to escape only to be chased down by Cyr. Cyr then grabbed the victim’s arm and hair. The victim got away again only to be chased down by Cyr who continued to strangle the victim with her hands. The victim was able to escape with the younger sibling to a nearby home for help. The victim suffered non life-threatening injuries. Cyr was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was charged with 2nd Degree Child Abuse by Custodian and 2nd Degree Assault. CASE #23881-15
