PATROL SOLVES VEHICLE BURGLARY

Lexington Park, Maryland - On August 7, 2014, a victim entered her vehicle to leave for work when she discovered her vehicle had been burglarized and a TomTom brand GPS unit had been stolen. The ignition had been severely damaged in an attempt to steal the vehicle . Deputy Cole responded for the report. During Deputy Cole's investigation he learned the GPS unit had been pawned by a suspect identified as Malik Sharon Jordan, 18, of Lexington Park. Deputy Cole located Jordan at his residence and recovered additional evidence he had committed the crime. Jordan was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was charged with Rogue and Vagabond, Property Destruction, Theft $1,000 to $10,000, and Theft Under $1,000.
