THEFT – On August 6, 2014,
Deputy Cole responded to the Walmart in California, for a reported theft. Loss
Prevention employees observed a white female suspect exit the store with 2
television sets in a shopping cart. The theft prevention devices were still
attached to each tv. The total value of the stolen items was over $800.00. The suspect,
identified as Carey Holmes Bowen, 37, of Piney Point, was charged with Theft
Under $1,000 by Criminal Citation.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT – On August
6, 2014, DFC Knott responded to a residence on David Way in Lexington Park, for
a reported assault. The victim alleged suspect Frances Elizabeth Barnes, 58, of
Lexington Park, threatened the victim with a knife during a dispute over a
guest at the residence. Barnes was placed under arrest and transported to the
St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was charged with 2nd Degree
Assault.
