Arrests 7-24-14 to 7-27-14


DISORDERLY CONDUCT – On July 24, 2014, Deputy Cole responded to the Shell gas station located in the 20000 block of Point Lookout Road in Callaway, for a disturbance. Witnesses reported a female walking aimlessly in the shopping center yelling profanity. She threated to assault shopping center employees who asked her to leave. Deputy Cole made contact with the female who was identified as Ashley Marie Moore, 29, of Hollywood. Moore appeared to be very intoxicated and continued to yell profanity. Moore was ordered to stop yelling several times and refused. Her actions caused several patrons of the shopping center to gather. Moore was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. She was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Possession Alcoholic Beverage, and Failure to Obey Lawful Order.

PROTECTIVE ORDER VIOLATION – On July 25, 2014, deputies responded to a residence in the 36000 block of Manor Road in Chaptico, for a protective order violation. The victim alleged suspect James Bret Reed, 54, of Leonardtown, entered the yard of the victim in violation of an active protective order. While responding to the residence, Deputy Kerns observed Reed driving his vehicle in the area. Reed was located at a nearby store and placed under arrest. Reed was also determined to be operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with the Protective Order Violation and DUI by Corporal O’Connor.

ASSAULT – On July 26, 2014, Deputy S. Cameron responded to St. Mary’s Hospital for an assault. The victim alleged suspect Kenneth Ray Dyson, 31, of Lexington Park, assaulted the victim by strangling with his hands. Deputy Cameron observed fresh injuries consistent with the victim’s account of events. Dyson was located and placed under arrest. He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with 2nd Degree Assault.

ASSUALT – On July 17, 2014, a victim reported suspect Robert Quincy Graham JR, 28, of California, assaulted the victim while at their residence located on Iverson Drive in California. The victim alleged Graham strangled the victim and bit the victim’s ear during an argument. Corporal O’Connor observed evidence of injury consistent with the victim’s account of the incident. Graham was located and placed under arrest. He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with 2nd Degree Assault.

ASSAULT – On July 25, 2014, Deputy Phelan responded to a residence on Upland Drive in Bushwood for a reported assault. The victim alleged suspect Ronald Linzell Scruggs Jr., 20, of Bushwood, struck the victim in the face and threw the victim to the floor. Scruggs allegedly broke the victim’s cell phone during an incident the night before. Deputy Phelan observed evidence of injury on the victim. As Deputy Phelan returned to the residence to arrest Scruggs, he fled on foot into the woods. Scruggs was located a short time later and placed under arrest. He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with 2nd Degree Assault.
